Revell plastic model kit

The Lacrosse missile system was developed as a surface-to-surface mobile attack weapon. It was extremely accurate because it was controlled by a forward guidance station, similar to a field artillery observation post. The Lacrosse was developed out of the Armys Pacific Campaign experience in World War II. While originally designed for close-in support, it was expanded to general support. The Lacrosse was also capable of delivering numerous types of warheads. The missile was mounted on a standard Army truck, and was totally self-contained and highly mobile. Because of its mobility, the Lacrosse presented a difficult target for the enemy to find.
